"Get Off and Push" The story of the Gilmore & Pittsburgh Railroad:   Thornton Waite traces the history of a little-known Northern Pacific controlled railroad that was never directly connected with its owner, even though surveys were made to join them. The 120 mile line went from Armstead, Montana over the Continental Divide to Salmon, Idaho with one branch to the mines at Gilmore, Idaho.  It was completed in 1910 and stopped operations in 1939 after constantly struggling to remain in operation and make money, but had an important role in the growth and development of its area. The volumne has 106 pages with many photos and is softbound.
